I decided this would be the best follow up to the projected shadows project. So here is a Projected Texture in the same room.

This project uses two passes to generate the scene. The first pass creates the room with the object. The second pass creates the projected texture on the objects and blends it with the first pass.

You can press space to stop the animation in the scene. Click on and drag the sphere around the scene to see how the projected texture wraps around the sphere.
